Water Power
Water power or hydropower is the act of using the force of water to move a turbine, which is hooked up to a generator, that is used to make electricity. Hydropower is currently accounts for 8% of the power generation in the United States and 40% of renewable power production. Hydropower was invented in the late 1800s in Michigan. Hydropower plants are all over the nation. Some notable ones include Hover Dam, The Dallas Dam, and John Ray Dam.
